About Us
At Willow & Oak, we will steward the land regeneratively to feed and serve our local community. Our goal is to grow high-quality food and florals using practices that balance environmental, economic, and social sustainability. We are Kelly Hardin & Adam Lee and we are honored to be your Willow & Oak Farmers!

In May 2021, we secured a 5-year lease on a propoerty owned by the McKenzie River trust located on Camp Creed Rd. We spent that year moving to the new farm site, preparing land, setting up infrastructure, improving soil health, and getting to know the land. We also began the process of moving Kelly’s established cut flower enterprise, Barn Swallow Blossoms, from Upriver Organics. We transplanted our first greenhosue flower crop that summer and our first outdoor plot in the fall.

In the 2022 season, Adam started the pasture-raised animal enterprises on the farm, raising chickens for eggs and for meat. We grew a 1/3 of an acre of cut flowers and worked on improving over 3/4 of an acre for future flower production. In the coming seasons we will grow our chicken enterprises and look to incorproate sheep in our pasture rotations.
Practices
Having worked and learned to farm on certified organic vegetable and animal farms, we steward our land and animals following organic principles and practices.

As we are building up our own compost production, we source certified organic compost and soil ammendments for our flower production. We are committed to growing flowers that are kinder to our world, only using organic and pollinator-safe practices.

In our effort to support other small-scale local producers we source all our chicken feed from Mosaic Farms in Philomath OR. The 1-person feed mill operation sources the main proteins, wheat & peas, exclusively from farmers located in the Pacific Northwest. Our chicks are hatched by Jenks Hathery in Tangent OR, and harvested at Mineral Spings Poultry in Willamina OR, both family owned and operated buisnesses.

All our birds are pasture raised, meaning that they live their entire lives on pasture after 2-4 weeks in the brooder. They live on irrigated pastures all sumemr long, and always have access to fresh forage, bugs and insects. We prioritize out animals' health and well being, constantly learning how to contnue to offer them a fulfulling life.
