FOOD for Lane County’s Youth Farm is a 5-acre urban educational farm that combines youth services with hunger relief. Since 1998, a summer leadership program run at the farm provides low-income teens paid work experience and educational activities on gardening, nutrition, teamwork, leadership and fiscal literacy. Staff, volunteers and youth grow organic produce for two produce stands and a 100+-member Community Supported Agriculture program, providing affordable organic vegetables to the local community. FFLC distributes over half of the farm grown produce through it’s network of over 150 partner agencies to our community’s most vulnerable households. We also offer school field trips, service learning opportunities, free workshops and volunteer opportunities to individuals and groups of all ages.

No certifications. We use organic soil amendments, organic fertilizers, cover crops, and diverse crop rotations. Our tractors are powered by biodiesel. We strive to minimize our impact on the environment and to produce healthy, nutritious food and a safe and productive farm.
